Ellis Stone’s excellent Safety Record is no accident, it is the result of our commitment to a safe jobsite.

Our Company has achieved a .60 Experience Modification Rating (EMR) for 2007, one of the lowest in the State of Wisconsin. An EMR is used to determine worker’s compensation premiums. Our .60 rating means we pay 60% of what the average construction company pays in worker’s compensation premiums.

All Forklift Drivers are certified

Scheduling

We utilize the Critical Path Method for scheduling
Our experience in scheduling and the software we use, allows us to project construction schedules and update easily and efficiently
Estimating

We have maintained an extensive file of unit costs from past projects for over 30 years, allowing us to provide our customers with detailed accurate estimates
Using a computerized file of material suppliers and subcontractors, we solicit bids for all phases of work
Ellis competitively bids 85% - 95% of the total cost of each project
Supervision

All Project Superintendents have completed the Associated General Contractors of America “Supervisory Training Program”. Completion of the project is a 3-4 year commitment
Superintendent average length of service with Ellis is over 19 years. Most have years of additional experience in the construction industry
Cost Accounting

We have utilized computerized cost accounting for over 30 years
Projects are monitored weekly to ensure tight job control
